The Setting

Our Nursery outdoor and indoor space

In nursery we learn through play. Play is the building blocks to ensure your child develops in all areas of the new Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. Although we plan to ensure children are exposed to different experiences, we also follow children’s interest so the nursery setting is adapted to follow these interests, while still ensuring your child is learning a range of skills.

Our outdoor learning area is specifically for early years and we have recently just renewed it. I’m sure you will agree it looks amazing! There are different areas and a range of new resources to help support all interests. The children love being outdoors and we do try to go out in all weathers to give the children the different experiences.

Indoors changes regularly depending on our topic. We try and have activities that link and change each week as well as continue certain activities that the children enjoy doing over longer periods. We try to provide a range of activities to spike their curiosity, develop their independence and encourage them to be good talkers. Communication and language skills are one of our main priorities alongside, physical development and personal, social and emotional development.
